I just downloaded it without any problems, so -- try again?

If you still can't download it, send an email and I can send the install file to you via email.

Thanks much for the feedback !
1. Open PP and click 'new version available' button
2. get
http://www.esumsoft.com/download?verPP= ... il=3.8.1.0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3. click on Update? 'Yes' link, and get move lower down on the same page to...
Download POP Peeper Pro
(Download zip) v4.0.1 Shareware / Freeware*
4. click on DPOPPP link and get same subject error message result
5. click on (Download zip), get zip folder, with download 'log' (error?) message (see attached), and when click on POPPeeper.exe just opens v3 PP
Doesnt seem like a browser (FireFox) question, but who knows.
Email would be fine, just would like to correct any PC/Browser problems if needed/possible.
Thanks again.

The zip file should work but you have to exit POP Peeper manually before you copy in the files -- you can't overwrite files that are in use.

Thanks, did that and step '5.' did seem to 'open' v4...
5. click on (Download zip), get zip folder, with download 'log' (error?) message (see attached), and when click on POPPeeper.exe just opens v3 PP
...but the inbox and outboxes were all empty ?
Same happened when click on PC shortcut/startmenu for PP.
Any way to recover them?

Ps: When click on v4 'Check Mail', some, but not all, 'old unread messages' seem to come back to inbox, but not outbox 'onhold' messages.
2Ps: Just realized you mentioned 'copy in' the files from the zip. Just did that, but nothing changed from the above info.
3Ps: Also getting 'error' box list for most all accounts...

Code: Select all

accountname [0: POP3] ['mail.comcast.net' (995) SSL: 1] [Smtp: 'smtp.comcast.net' (25) SSL: 0]
SSL connection failed (SSL Plugin is not loaded)
...not sure how to (if should) download 'SSL Plugin', but will look 'around'.

Reverted to v3.8.1.0 and all (unread emails, outbox 'on-hold' emails, simple interface, etc) came back.
Maybe an XP thing, who knows?
Guess Ill stay with v3 for a while, simpler and more familiar... dont need anything more 'fancy'.
But, with that said, am really happy with PP and dont know what would do without it!
Thanks !!!

Did you actually install v4 over v3? The reason I ask is that this error:
> (SSL Plugin is not loaded)
would suggest that the SSL plugin is not installed; assuming you had it in v3, there's no reason it wouldn't be there for v4. And if you installed v4 to a different folder than v3, that would probably explain why none of your messages were available.

Anyway, if you want to troubleshoot, please email me as it will be much easier to discuss.

Thanks !
Will keep that in mind, and for sure come back to this post when get ready to do the v3 to v4.
Guess I also need to look at what v4 'adds to the list'.
