As long as PP is checking mail for any account in PP on a regular basis then the email provider (Yahoo) will be aware of these log-ins and consider the log-ins in-and-of-itself as activity therefore would not delete the account.

You can create up to 500 Yahoo disposable addresses using your current address, without having to create a special address.
