Every now and then, yahoo decides to "help us keep our account secure", by requesting that we enter a mobile number and change to a new password.
We can bypass this, but it requires to manually decline the 3 requests.
Nowadays it does so repeatedly on some accounts, causing PP to fail the login and report Error: Try again later. (-10).

my suggestion: Would it be possible that PP detects this and declines automatically?

The sequence is always:
1- Help us keep your account safe --> click on CONTINUE
2- Create a new password --> click on SKIP FOR NOW
3- Add your mobile number --> click on SKIP FOR NOW
and then we are in the normal mail screen

(Make sure to use the "&.lang=en-US" parameter in the initial login request, otherwise Yahoo will use whatever local language of the country you are traveling to and logging from)

I could be wrong about this and of course Jeff would be the one best to address the topic, but what I find is that if I log-in on the web via my browser I will very often get the page asking if I want to update a phone number on file for Yahoo, but I was never having any problems with POP Peeper accessing the specific account at that time however. Again I can't explain this, but it would appear the prompt I'm getting when logging into the account is not impacting POP Peeper for that account, at least that's been my experience because in each of these cases I was not getting any errors in POP Peeper at the time I would get the prompt when logging-in on the web.

It could be the prompt I'm getting is different than the prompt discussed here, because the prompt I'm referring to is only asking if I want to update the phone number and not asking to change my password. So perhaps the prompt discussed in this topic is another "security" type prompt that works different than what I'm generally experiencing.

Perhaps other team members have a different experience and of course Jeff would be able to provide better answers when he can get by the forum.

Yeah, those security type pages are kind of a problem. However, I feel that it's not in everybody's best interest since the user may never see it if PP always dismisses it (ie. by PP dismissing it, it may dismiss it for your webbrowser, too). I realize it can be a pain, especially for users who don't know what's going on and PP is just reporting an obscure error (and via webbrowser, most people are logged into their account automatically and won't see the page). The other problem is that, historically, these kinds of pages change fairly often, so even if PP attempts to account for it, it may not work for long.

Best solution: Use IMAP in POP Peeper to access the account instead of using Webmail. ie. change the "server type" from "Yahoo" to "IMAP"
