Iphone and pop peeper

Post by Grumpy »

Hi

When I delete an email on my iPhone it also deletes it from pop peeper

I would like to be able to delete from my phone but leave them on pop peeper until I am ready to deal with them

Any suggestions are very welcome!

When you delete from your iphone, it's deleting it from the server and that's why POP Peeper removes it. Here are a couple of suggestions:

1) I don't know if this is possible, but instead of deleting from iphone, can you move it to another folder? Then, if you have POP Peeper Pro or the Plus Pack, you can have PP monitor that other folder.

2) You can tell PP not to remove messages that have been deleted from the server (as long as PP has already retrieved the message -- if you delete a message when PP isn't running or before PP sees the message, then this won't work)
a) First, you'll need to enable Advanced Options, if not already enabled (main menu: Tools / Options / General; "Advanced Options" is on the top-right)
b) Edit the account
c) Select the "Advanced" page
d) Uncheck "remove messages not on server"
e) Press Update

Messages that are affected will have a red-X in the status ('!') column. Deleting these messages will remove them from POP Peeper's list.
