Is it possible to reorder the list of my accounts?

One point that still puzzles me. I read your link and it mentions alphabetical ordering, but my accounts are not in alphabetical order and I can't see any way of forcing that. However, as I specifically don't want alphabetical ordering the suggestion of prefixing the account names with numbers does the job - they automatically go into numerical order.

And as to why I'm cantankerous enough that I wouldn't be happy with alphabetical ordering, it's simply that some accounts are much more heavily used than others. All I want is the ordering to reflect my personal sense of importance of the accounts with the most important at the top.

Thanks very much for posting back with the update, Simplicius! It sounds like your email accounts in the Accounts List are now being displayed the way you wanted.

You mentioned that your accounts were previously not listed in alphabetical order, which IS puzzling to me. It's my understanding (and my own experience), that PP displays email accounts alphabetically by default - based on the name of the email service provider (e.g., Cox, Gmail, Hotmail/Outlook, Yahoo, etc.).

One question: Can you be a bit more specific as to how your email accounts in the Accounts List were being displayed/ordered before you made the change(s)?

(In your next post, you can include a screenshot - similar to mine - if you like. Just be sure to edit/obscure any personally-identifiable information in the image before including it). Screenshots are quite helpful to us in evaluating an issue(es) a PP user may be experiencing.

"Ascii order" may be more accurate than "alphabetical order". In "ascii order" all the capital letters come before the lowercase letters:
0-9,A-Z,a-z

An example how PP would order accounts:

Z
a
b
z
