Temporarily restricting PP notifications to one laptop ?

Hi again.

I run Win 10 and Win 7 both with PP switched on simultaneously, using Win 10 for online work etc., in a small office at home and Win 7 for drafting out long texts using Dragon Dictate on a desk in the lounge; Dragon by the way being absolutely superb cutting down enormously the time I used to have to spend typing.

Sometimes however halfway through a long dictation on Win 7, I'll get an email alert which can break the train of thought losing what I was going to say. So is there a way I can somehow switch off PP temporarily in Win 7 when dictating in future to avoid interruption until I can check later on either in Win 10 or Win 7 ?

Thanks :)

There are a few ways to switch-off the PP AutoCheck.

The two easiest ways would be to do either of the following.

1) right-click on the PP tray-icon and uncheck "AutoCheck":

2) left-click on the green-ball in lower right-corner of PP main interface (ball will change to red when AutoCheck is toggled off):

There is also an option in the "Voice Notifier settings..." to not play messages when "Main Window is Open" as well as other ways. Also you may want to make sure you have not set any individual PP accounts to account-specific Polling Intervals in the "Advanced" tab of the Account Edit interface (as I'm not sure if disabling AutoCheck overrides these settings).
