Yahoo keeps sending me emails urging me to change to their "new version". I'm not sure what this entails, but they claim it is safer (I have no clue in what sense they mean this). My question is whether I should make this change, or will it cause POPPeeper to stop working with Yahoo email?

Yahoo's New Version
Re: Yahoo's New Version
Unless Yahoo is referring to a different version than what I think, then it should work, and you can always switch it back to Classic if it doesn't (and let us know).
However, if you're using IMAP (which is recommended) in POP Peeper to access the account, then the Yahoo interface won't matter. Edit the account and refer to the "server type" -- if it's "IMAP" then you're good. If it's not, consider switching to IMAP and also press the "OAuth2" button (it will appear next to login name after you switch to IMAP) and follow the instructions.

Re: Yahoo's New Version
I am already set to IMAP, so the next time Yahoo offers an interface change, I'll try it and see what happens. Thanks.

Re: Yahoo's New Version
When in "Classic" mode there will be a message at the lower-left corner of the Yahoo inbox page that says "One click away from your upgraded Inbox" that you can click on any time to change to the New Interface (I prefer the "Classic" mode myself). So far Yahoo provides the ability to change back to the "Classic" mode after providing the reason for changing back (note: you will be prompted to agree to the new TOS when changing versions, which at this time you still have the choice to delay).
