Bottom line:
What are the steps to transfer PP from old
disk to new disk using only windows explorer, not PP archive?
thanks
This is an unusual situation.
My C: drive crashed and is not bootable.
I assume that some boot file got corrupted and most of the disk is ok.
I have mounted the bad drive and I can find roaming/Pop Peeper
It looks ok, just cannot boot.
I want to restore PP, these are my choices.
a) Just use the clone disk copy of PP.
Unfortunately I would loose a month of mail.
However, since my mail is online (google, yahoo)
I would only loose one month of bcc:, deleted mail folder, sent folder.
Is that right?
b) Copy from the crashed drive. I cannot boot this, but I can see
roaming/Pop Peeper
This is up to date.
Can I just copy roaming/Pop Peeper from the crashed disk to the new disk?
The new disk is the one month old clone, which has PP installed.
I would prefer to do b) if possible.
So the question is: What are the steps to transfer PP from old
disk to new disk using only windows explorer, not PP archive?
thanks
how to copy PP to new disk using window explorer
Re: how to copy PP to new disk using window explorer
I would go with (b) myself first, too. And if that doesn't work (e.g. some corrupted files) I would use your backup.
But, yes, basically you can just copy your "POP Peeper" folder from the appdata folder on your crashed drive to the equivalent location on your new drive. You should just be able to copy it, no special steps should be necessary.

Ok, I copied roaming/Pop Peeper to the new drive successfully
I notice a few email have no bayesian circle.
Not complaining, just reporting.

That can happen if the messages were downloaded before Pro was activated. If it bothers you (it does me), then you can right-click on the messages and select AntiJunk->re-evaluate. You don't have to do that one-by-one; you can select multiple messages and then select "re-evaluate" one time.
