Move Email To An Email Folder

Post by Protocol »

Can I move my email to an email folder?
I used to be able to click the "Online" button, but that is grayed out on v5.

Assuming you're using IMAP, click & drag the message to the account on the left. It will then ask what folder you want to move it to. If you happen to have said target folder as an account in PP, you can drop the message there, too; PP will still ask which folder, but it will default to the selected folder.

Alternatively, if you don't like click&drag (which was added in v5), you can also add the "move to" button to the toolbar (main and/or message toolbar). Or right-click on the message and select Move to (on the main message list) or under the 'Messages' menu when viewing a message.

As for "View online" -- that's only available if the account is WebMail.

Thanks, Jeff.
I actually went looking for something like that, but didn't notice it.

I just noticed something in the "Current Toolbar Buttons" list.
There is a grayed out separator that doesn't do anything at the bottom of the list. It doesn't move or display.

That's so that you can move "available" buttons to the end of the list. The "Add" will put the button wherever the selection is, so if there wasn't a blank at the end, you would only be able to add to the 2nd to last spot.
