Windows sockets initialization failed

If I start poppeeper.exe, I get the error message "Windows sockets initialization failed".

There is no poppeeper.ini on the system further more.

Any idea, what I can do?

The first thing that I would suggest is to reboot your computer.

If you still have the same problem; well, searches on the internet for that error seems to indicate some system file corruption, although there are many suggests to reset winsock. I found 2 sources on Microsoft websites for how to do this (1 source leads to the 2nd):
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/ ... a40acdb643
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

You may also want to re-install POP Peeper as it's possible those files are corrupt.
And the next phase would be to do a complete uninstall of POP Peeper (including data files), and then re-install and start your setup from scratch.

... it was a damaged Windows network, not a problem of Pop Peeper.

Nevertheless, thanks a log for your try to assist me!
