Outlook mail + 2FA = "account doesn’t exist"

Hello,
I'm no longer able to check Outlook after the 2FA was enforced.
POP Peeper suggested me to set up OAuth, but when I try, I always get this:
"That Microsoft account doesn’t exist. Enter a different account or get a new one."
Both with embedded browser and via regular web browser.
What should I do to get it work?

What type of account is it? ie. is it a free @outlook.com account or is it provided through an organization? If it's an organization, this may work in v5.1 -- changes have been made that look promising but the final verdict hasn't been confirmed yet, and I could use more volunteers to test that, if applicable.

Drop me an email if you're interested in testing Oauth -- I'd like to have more confirmation before v5.1 officially releases.

There's also another term I've heard about the problems I have when accessing Outlook: "Modern Authentication".
Don't know what it is, but haven't found anything related in the PP account settings.

I'm fairly certain that "modern authentication" is Outlook's description of "Oauth2". "2FA" actually means 2-factor authentication, and is more along the lines of an email/text/authenticator code. That type of authentication isn't practical for email clients which need constant/unattended access, which is why alternative methods like oauth2 came to be.
