Are there any other icon notifications that can be used?
The "Snarl" is a solid dark color that that does't move and is hardly noticeable.

I'm not sure I understand your question -- Snarl is not what I would consider an "icon" notification. But most similar to the snarl plugin is the [url=https://www.esumsoft.com/products/pop-p ... tifierskin notifier[/url], and there are about 100 different skins available for it.


side-note: I'm not sure that Snarl is still in active development; the main fullphat.net homepage doesn't mention it (and appears to be Mac-specific now), although I did manage to find it on a sub-domain. The compatible Growl system also appears to be abandoned.
