PP 5.1.1.0 - WIN10prof fully updated - error when starting PP

hi, as of recent, i am getting a small empty PP box in the top left corner,
plus an error mssg in the middle of it ''Encountered an improper argument''.

clicking on OK unfolds PP normally into fullscreen. everything is fine after.

have now tried this for a couple of weeks - no sideffect on any files or any
operation noted.

but bothersome is a mssg that i cannot understand.

any idea? see screenshot above.
