Old Chromebook, cannot add linux, therefore cannot add Wine. Out of luck?

ChromeOS is based on Linux, that's the only reason I mentioned it; I have no personal experience with ChromeOS, so I don't know for certain that it's possible to install WINE, but there are search results that certainly suggest that it is, e.g.

That also suggests that CrossOver is available (which I've always associated more with MacOS), which is similar to wine.
