After clicking the magnifying glass button, the file browsing window does not open:

Confirmed -- on XP. Sorry, but this is not going to be addressed for a very out-dated OS. You can specify the full pathname in the text box, or: type a valid folder (not C:\) in the text box and then click the search button. e.g. type in C:\Windows\ and then press the button and it should open the browse file window.
Dev note: tested on Win7 & Win10 -- works as expected

Yes, typing C:\Windows button works.
