Is it possible to access Proton free email via PP?
Does anybody know how to configure PP for Proton?
Thanks.

Jeff will be looking into this further later on this week perhaps and provide additional info on this at that time - in the meantime I'll post some info regarding this topic taken off the web.
As far as I can tell, if it will work at all - it would appear you would need the "Proton Mail Bridge".
1.
Why you need Proton Mail Bridge.
2.
How to install Proton Mail Bridge.
I personally only use FREE Proton Mail so my knowledge of this is limited (as I have not applied any of this for myself) - to use the "Mail Bridge" you would need to use the
"Proton Unlimited" Paid Proton Mail Service ($9.99/month or 12 months for only $119.88).
Another link regarding the "Proton Mail Bridge":
Introducing the new and improved Proton Mail Bridge (It would appear there is no charge for the "Mail Bridge" itself, just paying for the "Proton Unlimited" Service is what is required to then be able to use the "Mail Bridge", as I understand it).
Email settings would be similar to other Email Services - the link to
ProtonMail IMAP Settings, would presumably suffice. (Here is an additional settings link as well:
ProtonMail Email Settings: POP3, IMAP, and SMTP.)

mjs is correct, it would require the Mail Bridge to access POP3/IMAP which is only available with ProtonMail's subscription. However, they do offer a cheaper alternative ($50/year) which includes the Mail Bridge:

And a slight correction on ProtonMail's pricing from mjs' reply -- it's actually $13/month or $120/year; the math wasn't working until I noticed the "12 months" slider was enabled by default on the page mjs linked to.
This is all just informational -- no endorsements and no affiliation. But I am
very supportive of non-monopolistic email services.
