I am having trouble with PPeeper freezing on me. I use Windows 11 on a laptop. It will be going along fine, then after I open an email, it freezes and I have no choice but to CTRL/ALT/DEL and close the program.
Help?
Thank you.

Re: Freezing
At the time this occurs (PP "freezing") what do you see in Windows (TM) Task Manager for the CPU/Memory/Disk column percentage values (especially CPU) for the OS and what are the percentages displayed for the same values specific to the POP Peeper process in the apps list (Note: you may, however, not be able to launch the TM if the overall OS is excessively burdened). You can post a screen-shot if you like.
When PP "freezes" presumably you are unable to close the "open" email in PP, right (in as much as PP is unresponsive)?
Have you tried simply doing an "Exit" of PP when this issue occurs (i.e. doing a right-click on the PP Icon in the System Tray and selecting "Exit", to determine if this option is functional when PP is in a "frozen" state).
Does this event (PP "freezing") only occur when "opening" an email? (i.e., there is not a problem if PP is doing a "Mail Check" for example)?
What version of PP are you using? (go to Help/About POP Peeper... to get the version).
Is the "freezing" of PP specific to opening an email for a specific Email Service (i.e. Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail etc) or does this occur for any Email Service (and what Email Services are you using in PP)?
Does the "freezing" of PP occur every time an email is "opened" (i.e. that is when you're reading an email message) or is this issue a random event (i.e. sometimes the issue does not occur when reading a message)?
If possible, provide details regarding any "pattern" you might observe as far as when this issue occurs.

Re: Freezing
One (or two) additional question to add to mjs' list:
- About how often does this occur? e.g. several times a day, once every few days, etc.
- Has it been this way too long for you to remember, or can you think of a significant event that may have precipitated it -- PP update, major Windows update, other software update, etc.
