Re: Upgrade to Pro

v4 will transfer your settings from v3. It will also make a backup of those files as listed under Tools / Options / Storage (it will rename the "data path" by appending "-v3" to it), but feel free to make your own backup first. The most important files are probably the "Ini ...

Re: There are no any accounts in new version

It sounds like the Setup Wizard started when you first ran v4, which means that PP thought it was a new install. When you installed POP Peeper v4, you need to copy and run POP Peeper in the same folder that v3 was installed so that it can find and upgrade your v3 data.

Re: After upgrade to V01.0 start takes 45 seconds

hm, that does seem odd. In most cases, loading v4 should take about the same amount of time as v3. For comparison, do you have a guesstimate as to how long v3 took for you? Do you exit/restart POP Peeper when needed, or do you leave it running? Not sure what the "obvious reasons" are -- be...

Re: Check Mail/ Email Client Buttons

Not sure if you know this or not, but you can add the "Email client" button to the toolbar. I decided to leave it out by default because it seems like so many people have abandoned full email clients these days since most email services allow you to store gigs of data. Or maybe I was just ...

POP Peeper v4

As of today, POP Peeper v3 users will start receiving the notice that POP Peeper v4 is available. It has been available for quite some time, but some people may not have gotten the announcements or have decided to stick with v3 in the meantime. v4 is a recommended update for the following reasons: 1...

Re: Checkbox for received emails

If you have POP Peeper v4.0 , there is a "User flag" column (3rd column from the left by default, it looks like head&shoulders). If you click on this column it will rotate through the available icons and one such icon is a trashcan (note: if you click in this column for another message...

Re: using Compsoe button crashes client

Welcome to the POP Peeper forums, amjfrankenstein. Can you tell me: - What version of POP Peeper you're using (check under Help / About)? - If there is an Account selected in the Account List (left-side), PP will use that account for the default compose; if not, it will use the account of the first ...

Re: WebMail.dll CRC error

The VM that I mentioned is XP, so that's not specifically the problem. I just did another sanity check -- I verified the webmail.dll (zip from website) on my Win7 laptop, which has never seen the updated webmail plugin (with new certificate) before. No issue. My guess is that something on your compu...

Re: WebMail.dll CRC error

As a sanity check, I just tested v.14 in a VM which had a fresh install of PP v4.0 -- tested both auto-update and manual zip with no crc issue. The built-in test uses the digital signature for verification, so it's possible that your certificates aren't up-to-date. My certificate was recently renewe...

Re: WebMail.dll CRC error

Thanks for letting me know about the .13 thing -- I must have gotten severely distracted during the process because the information for the update was obviously only half finished and there are even checks&balances after that that should have caught my attention... #-o However, as for the CRC er...

I'd appreciate it. If you haven't already, download the PPLC tool here for translating:

and email the translation to me when you're done (support at esumsoft dot com).

Re: Is there a way to Search emails with a keyword?

Sorry, but it's not currently possible to search the inbox. At least not directly. If you know that you've previously replied to the email that you're searching for, you can still search using SMV and you might find what you're looking for (this is usually what I do myself). Or, if you know the acco...

Re: error 1001 /yahoo

You have a very outdated webmail plugin. An update for Yahoo was just released and you will need to perform a *manual* update of this plugin (this does NOT apply to most people who just need the latest webmail update):

Re: Auto minimize PP on last message

That's not a bad idea... I've added it to my notes. btw, I don't like the strict "if last unread message is deleted" but if the delete action is to "go to next unread message" and it fails, then it certainly makes sense. So, end result: if PP is told to go to the next unread mess...

Re: Error -1000 - haven't been able to download in weeks.

The '!' column has always been labelled as such. It's a narrow column for which any word longer than one character wouldn't fit, so I used '!'. Why yours was removed, I couldn't tell you -- it's a default column. If you have other qualms with the new interface, please be specific. I really don't thi...

Mitchell -- The post you found about the beta version is pretty old (2013) -- v4 is not in beta; nor has it been officially transitioned, which is why your v3 didn't tell you of the update. If you still have a problem with v4, let me know. asquirrel -- "use registry configuration" will wo...

Re: Error -1000 - haven't been able to download in weeks.

As suggested by the faq that you found, -1000 usually indicates that something is blocking POP Peeper's web-based access (e.g. firewall). If you have POP Peeper v4, you can better confirm this by select File / Error overview and then press the "Web Test" button. You should get a response o...

To move the window, you'll need to: 1) PP main menu: Tools / Skin notifier -> Select skin/settigns 2) Bottom-right: enable "override slider" 3) Change "Mode" to "Disable slider" 4) You can then press the "Test" button and when the popup appears, click and drag...
