Yes, it's possible -- you need the Plus Pack which supports accessing folders for IMAP and select webmail services (including Hotmail, so you're covered whether you're using the Hotmail server type or IMAP).

valkyrie, besides the questions lakrsrool asked, could you also let us know what errors you get when using both "GMail" and "IMAP" for the server type? Knowing both errors may help to deduce what the problem is.
