Re: OOM- Out of memory ERROR
The best method to reduce OOM errors is to remove messages -- especially messages with large/many attachments. If you can open PP without crashing, then sorting by the "size" column can help you determine which messages and in which accounts should be removed. These messages don't necessar...

Re: Synchronising with Gmail 'Sent' folder
Let us know if you still cannot access GMail using IMAP with POP Peeper. Using IMAP *is* the preferred method, despite GMail's FUD that using TLS is less secure.

Re: gmail logins
Roland -- my guess is that: - You haven't enabled the "allow less secure apps" option in your GMail account. Not doing so would prevent both POP3 and IMAP from working. You can enable it here: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps - WebMail started working again after you...

Re: Problems with hotmail
Yeah, I noticed one -- maybe two -- errors over the weekend, too. Makes me wonder if they didn't fix it so much as patch it, and they just need to reboot or something to fix it. Still, it's better than it was and I still recommend IMAP over the alternatives (POP3 or WebMail) as far as POP Peeper is ...

Re: Blue blackground making white
hm, but what colors would a graphic designer use? I am a prime example of why programmers get a bad rep for graphic design :) The reason I used those colors is because they're very close to white, but tinged with the appropriate color. I plan on doing some experimenting tonight with different colors...

Re: gmail logins
dandan -- This will happen if you're using WebMail (server type = gmail) and your IP address changes. For this reason, it's recommended that you use IMAP or POP3 to access GMail accounts (and IMAP is recommended over POP3). Roland -- Are you sure that you don't have 2-step verification enabled? You ...

Please see this guide:

I just added an alternative to completely disabling it, so you can still get a visual cue when you should train it.

Re: Pop Peeper lists messages in duplicate
If I understand correctly, it all makes sense and you took the best course of action to prevent the problem. In fact, unless the forward/delete was conditional (ie. some messages were not forwarded/deleted), then those accounts would have always been empty and therefore no need to check them anyway....

Re: Poppeeper downloading entire mail folder
Glad everything is back to normal now.
Sorry you couldn't use IMAP (it really is superior over POP3), but it does sound like the problem was with your host's IMAP servers. You may want to contact them and see if there's a known problem.

Re: Problems with hotmail
I didn't pay much attention to the number of errors over the weekend, but I haven't gotten a single error yet today (knock on wood). rvail317 -- are you using the same configuration on both computers? ie. edit the account and refer to the "server type" -- only IMAP was affected by the issu...

Let us know if the message is there or not and if there's anything special about it (e.g. in italics), as I may be able to provide an explanation.

Re: Pop Peeper lists messages in duplicate
Welcome to the forums, David. 1) Have you verified that the account does not actually have duplicates? ie. sign into the email service with your webbrowser and check the inbox. 2) What version of POP Peeper are you using (under main menu: Help / About)? 3) Are the duplicate messages in the same acco...

You would have to create your own skin. Download the example in the afore-referenced link for information.

Re: Pop Peeper not seeing a spam email on server
It's possible that the email may be hidden for some other reason. If you know that the message is in the inbox but PP is not displaying it, select Messages / Enable display filters to disable the display filters (remove the checkmark).

I just found some information that users of Thunderbird are reporting similar issues: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2965259 It's probably not worth your time to read the entire thread, but one of the first posts mentioned a status page that has more information: https://port...

Re: Pop Peeper not seeing a spam email on server
Assuming that you have Pro, the email is likely being evaluated as spam and is being filtered from the main message list. If you press the "Junk View" button on the toolbar, you'll probably see that message where you can delete it as normal. You can review this article for further options:...

Re: Poppeeper downloading entire mail folder
Ok, a couple of things to check: 1) main menu: Tools / Options / Storage - Make sure that the "Storage" dropdown is set to either Headers or Entire (Entire is recommended) If it was set to "None" then that was the problem and you should be good. If it was set to Headers, then you...

Re: Gmail deleted messages are moved to "*" label
Moshe, I've emailed you to request further information.
lakrsrool posted a reply in-between. The filters is a good thing to check, but I assume that you know that you've deleted the suspect emails from POP Peeper? Conversation view shouldn't be a factor since this is IMAP.

Re: Problems with hotmail
Just to confirm -- it is a Hotmail error, but it's specific to their IMAP server. Prior to v4, POP Peeper would default Hotmail accounts to use "WebMail" instead of IMAP (this was not just for Hotmail, this change affected all servers that support both WebMail and Imap, such as GMail and Y...
