Re: Can't login Gmail login error
You can follow the url that gmail provides in the error and you will *eventually* discover that you need to allow "less secure apps" (which is a bit of FUD); but here's the direct link: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps You will need to log into each account that you ...

Re: Yahoo errors - Serverbug/Fetch, Limit/Capability
Has anybody seen a consistent change in reliability? I just checked my accounts and the check mail process seemed much faster than my previous tests. Also, Yahoo's twitter page is no longer a constant barrage of "we're aware of a problem with mail" so hopefully things are back to normal ag...

Re: Configuring version 4.01
The AntiJunk plugin also provides more capabilities than just filtering spam. It can also be used to provide special notifications. Right now, this is primarily accomplished using Rules, for which the current GUI may be a little too overwhelming for people, so I plan on providing a more convenient m...

Re: receive/view own email
AntiJunk has a BCC rule that will hide messages from yourself. I recently modified the rule so that it will only affect true-BCC messages (ie. if sent to yourself in the To/CC field, the rule won't apply), but the update may not affect existing rules. So, you can either disable the rule, or update i...

Re: Pop Peeper 4.01 exe won't run
I would try rebooting first, but if the exe installer doesn't work (and there's no reason it shouldn't...), there's also a zip file available on the download page.

Re: Configuring version 4.01
POP Peeper's AntiJunk filters are very non-aggressive by default. Meaning, PP doesn't actually do anything to the messages, it simply filters them so that they're not displayed in the message list. This allows you to review them at your leisure and you can easily move them back into the main message...

Re: Yahoo errors - Serverbug/Fetch, Limit/Capability
Someone emailed me with the same limit/capability error so I checked out my own accounts. On my first test, PP just timed out after sending the login info. Several attempts on several Yahoo accounts thereafter all succeeded, but still seemed slow. Ok, just got the limit/capability error. My first th...

Re: Gmail Archive
OK... here's the current status: The capability to be able to move messages around in imap folders was already completed and will be available in the Plus Pack v4.1. I had previously added the back-end code (ie. no GUI option) to allow a global override of the "delete" folder. But after re...

To follow-up on this -- the next version will ask if you want to delete these files so that you can continue to use the spell checker without having to find and delete the files yourself.

Re: Some emails not showing
I'm glad you figured it out. Be sure to mark those messages as Legitimate (select them and press the "Mark Legit" button on the toolbar or press the 'L' key on your keyboard) so that
a) they get moved back to the inbox
b) POP Peeper can learn that they're not Junk

Re: Uncheck "U.S. FTC" makes Pop Peeper to crash
Thanks for reporting this, Aiden. And I apologize for the problem. The "new" button becomes (incorrectly) disabled if no service is selected in the list. I have just fixed it for the next version. If this is something that you don't want to wait for, email me and we can insert a service ma...

Re: Aspeller error
Sorry about the problem. Yes, I'm certain that you're correct about an improper shutdown causing data corruption. I haven't seen it happen with POP Peeper, but I have another utility that I use the spell-checker with and a computer crash has caused the same problem. I'll improve that for the next ve...

Re: Zoho POP3 Stopped Working
I will probably have to see a log of the communication between PP and the server when the error occurs -- so email me and we'll get that started.
Let me know if you don't get the reply notification.

Re: one account has " in unread column
It's ok to use Thunderbird instead of PP and that shouldn't cause any problems. But there's no reason that a quote should appear in that column... Have you tried exiting and restarting PP? If it still happens, can you send a screenshot and maybe I'll see something in it that can be explained. Send t...

Re: Gmail Archive
POP Peeper Plus Pack v4.1 will support this in one form or another, but let me ask you this: 1) Would it suffice if you could move messages to that folder? It may not be as convenient as simply deleting it, but it would be more flexible. (Imagine it as a toolbar button with a dropdown menu from whic...
