POP Peeper v5.5
It is important to note that data saved with v5.5 is not backward-compatible with previous versions, including v5.4 . This means that once you install v5.5, it's not recommended that you go back to a previous version unless you also restore from a backup from the previous version (specifically: popp...

Re: OAuth2 GMail error
Just to confirm -- did you try rebooting your computer? This may clear out the range of ports that PP tries to use for this. What I would recommend at this point is that you use an app-password; this won't affect your ability to use Oauth on another computer. Here are the instructions: https://suppo...

Re: OAuth2 GMail error
Are you running any other kind of security programs? I'd say something more along the lines of a software firewall? (a hardware firewall wouldn't be relevant). Windows firewall shouldn't be a problem unless you've made custom modifications. Otherwise, try rebooting your computer.

Re: OAuth2 GMail error
I know it can be confusing, but each service has their own restrictions on which methods are supported that aren't currently baked into PP's logic. So, to narrow it down in your case: - Gmail *only* supports the "web browser" method ("code" and "embedded" will not work)...

Re: [Request] Change color if marked for delete
I wrote some quick code and it's definitely do-able (just missing the user-defined color), so this will likely be added in v6.

Re: Separate button to delete emails from the server.
By default, the delete button marks the message for delete and will be deleted on the next mail check. I've been thinking about your suggestion, and I'm not sure that it adds much value as far as POP Peeper is concerned. It would actually take quite a bit of reworking to support it properly (ie. the...

Re: User Flag Server Sync
Just a quick update on this -- barring some unforeseen incident, this should make it into v6.0. Replied/Forward, flag (important) and other user flags should work dependent upon the supported features of the server.

Re: Separate button to delete emails from the server.
teksik -- If I understand correctly, you want to be able to check mail without deleting any messages that have already been marked for delete. Is that correct?
That's fundamentally how POP Peeper has always worked. Can you provide a scenario where this would be used?

Sheesh, keep harassing me till it gets done, amirite? As I hinted at above, this is something that I would want myself, but had pretty much forgotten about since then, so I'm glad you brought it up again. And I did some more research, which supported what I found before: Gmail supports cus...

Re: How to transfer Pop Peeper configuration to a new computer?
In most cases, you just need to copy POP Peeper's data folder to the appropriate location. See the following FAQ for details:

Edit the account in POP Peeper and select the "Send Mail" page. It's actually "BCC" and not CC.

Re: Links not working
Ok here's the situation... There appears to be a limit of 512 characters that can be detected in the URL. This is probably a limitation of the development environment that PPv5 uses; I tested it in the (likely) PPv6 environment and the full URL is detected (I successfully tested a URL over 1024 char...

Re: Links not working
Are you viewing the message in plain, rich or html? Check under the 'view' menu. If available, try one of the other methods (plain or html) and let me know the result of that, too.

Reference to original report: https://www.esumsoft.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?p=40996#p40996 You mentioned in your previous report that you thought it may be related to the SSL update. Re: Hotmail Send Mail failure
There are a few such examples in the wild about this error (and specific to Outlook/smtp), but the OP never seemed to follow-up, which might suggest that the error cleared up on its own. "Account locked" seems ominous; "contact administrator" sounds like it's for non-free address...

Re: Envelope in pop peeper desktop icon
When you open your email client, presumably you have TB set to delete messages from your server. It's this absence of the messages that causes POP Peeper to change from the yellow (unread messages) icon to the empty mailbox. Depending on various settings, it may take some time for this to happen. Th...

Out of curiosity, what direction did the other program change? I'd just like to check in on what others' expectations are so I don't make similar mistakes.
