Right/click on an account that you want to change the color for and click on "Edit" in the context menu. Look to the right of the right of the "account name" in this interface box where you'll see a "color drop down box" where you can change the color of that specific account.

lakrsrool did answer the question that you asked, but as an educated guess, I'm going to add a little more information.
v4 still uses the colors that you assigned to accounts from v3 for the text color, but it also adds a background color. The background color represents whether the message is good (green), unknown (blue) or junk (red). For more information, including how to disable the background color:
