I have a Surface Pro 4 running at 250 DPI and was originally excited to see in the release notes that PP had added proper support for DPI scaling. However, I was very disappointed when I saw the results. Not only is the HTML super tiny, but the buttons don't render properly.
While setting the HTML zoom to 400% is an OK work-around for the HTML problem, I think the idea of supporting DPI scaling is that the application should more or less look the same when scaled as it does at 100% DPI, just have everything be larger. I realize that this is tough to do if the programming framework wasn't designed with DPI support in mind. I would prefer if there were a way (perhaps with a PP Tweaker option) to go back to the legacy behavior. I prefer slight blurring over obvious layout and rendering errors.
Here's a sample showing what I see at 250% DPI:

View and HTML Zoom
Re: View and HTML Zoom
Fear not, you posted at just the right time!
See: http://www.esumsoft.com/blog/pop-peeper ... xes-fixes/
I couldn't use 250% DPI because my lowly 1080p monitor couldn't fit it on the screen, so I used 200% instead. I think it gets the point across, though.
As the blog mentions, be sure to drop me an email so you can test it out and I can get your impression.

Re: View and HTML Zoom
That's good news. I have sent an email requesting to join the test group.
Re: View and HTML Zoom
Beta 2 is available which hopefully fixes the problem a few people have reported about HTML Zoom being a little wonky. It turned out that images in the HTML were getting scaled weirdly. For example, I had sent myself a 100x100 image to test various states and with 150% dpi at 100% html zoom, the image displayed was 67x67; 150% zoom would display the image at 100x100. Meanwhile, text was being displayed correctly for the zoom level, so I can see how this would cause very strange results between different messages.
I'm waiting for feedback from people who noticed this problem before making this beta "official", so please let me know.
Also, as a general rule of thumb, your HTML Zoom (under "Options" when viewing a message) should match your DPI level. e.g. 250% dpi should use 250% zoom. This is what I had been suggesting before I could confirm that there was a problem, so let me know if that general rule works out better now. Even though PP should default to that, I may reset everybody's HTML zoom in v4.3 to account for changes that they may have made due to v4.2.
