Re: keep messages from yahoo groups.
Because Yahoo groups is closing, here's what you can do to keep a local copy of these messages:
Archive the messages
This will store all the messages in standard .eml format which can be opened by most any email client.
1) Under:
main menu: Tools / Options / General
Enable "Advanced options"
and Press OK
2) Right-click on the account in the Account List (left-side of PP) and select "Archive messages"
3) If you have the POP Peeper Plus Pack, you can view these messages via:
main menu: View / Mailbox -> Archive
If you don't have the Plus Pack, you can see the files via:
main menu: View / Explore -> Archive
and double-clicking a file will display it in your registered email client (e.g. POP Peeper)
Backup the database
Make a backup of the database so that in case something happens to your original, you can easily restore it so that you can have the messages back in PP:
1) Under:
main menu: Tools / Options / Storage
2) Double-click the words "data path" -- this will open File Explorer
3) In File Explorer, you'll see a folder with the name of each of your accounts, open the folder that corresponds to your Yahoo Groups account
4) Select the file named data.db (or just "data" if you're not showing file extensions) and copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) to make a backup
5) Optionally move that file somewhere for permanent backup
