"To determine if your POP Peeper account is using Oauth2 or a password:

– v5.6 or newer: edit the account in POP Peeper; if you see a disabled control that says 'Password' to the right of your 'Login name', this means that Oauth2 is still being used and you need to update your password (if there’s an existing password, it could be your main password which Gmail no longer accepts and so you may still need to create a new app-password and use it to replace your existing password in POP Peeper). The disabled 'password' control will be removed after you save a password. The following image shows a case where Oauth2 is still being used because the 'Password' dropdown is visible but disabled: https://www.esumsoft.com/wordpress/wp-c ... ssword.png
POP Peeper v5.6 – Oauth2 still in use..."
I entered the long app password from my logged in https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords?rapt=... and confirmed in POP Peeper v5.6's Gmail settings. It seems to have worked. Do I assume when done, POP Peeper's Password will still show a "Confirm" button? It would be nice to show a screen shot showing the correct setting shot as an example when it is working and done. I hope I did this right. It seems to be correct since POP Peeper can log in and Google web site confirm this app when I allowed it.
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon.
It appears you've successfully switched your Gmail account to using the app-password you created for the respective Gmail account the app-password was created for. This is the only change that has occurred for this Gmail account in POP Peeper (i.e. you will be forthwith using an app-password in POP Peeper for this specific Gmail account thus satisfying the new app-passord Gmail requirement). Not sure what else you're asking.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if I did it correctly since this was confusing. Whew.
