POP Peeper behaviour change

Hello
I used POP peeper for a while and I'm used to its behaviouir
I just come back from a 2 weeks vacation... and things changed
For instance, if I want to "delete" a mail, I used to click on "Delete" and this added a "deletion mark" besides the header and the I could remove this mark
Now, the header (and the message) is delete IMMEDIATELY, with no way to come back !

Same problem when I "open" a mail : before, i was able to open the mail read it and close it - Now, when I open, read and close the mail, it is removed from the list !

Did some parameters change ? Either by a mistake of after some general Windows update

I use Windows 7 64 bits

Thanks for your help Have a good day

Both of these behaviors you describe are available options, but not the default:

1) Delete:
main menu: Tools / Options
Select the "General" page
Disable "delete mail immediately" (if you don't see it, enable "Advanced options" on the top-right and "delete mail immediately" will appear)

2) Hidden:
Main menu: Messages
There are 2 possible items here: "hide read" and "hide seen messages" -- if either one of those is enabled, you'll get the behavior you describe, so make sure both are disabled.

Thank you very much !
Everything works fine now

One small problem left : I defined the message to be read as "HTML"
But when I click on a message, it opens just above the message itself there is a yellow line that says
"Double-click here to view HTML"
Would it be possible to "immediately" enter in HTML mode and thus avoid this double step procedure ?

Thanks again !

Most likely, "Smart HTML viewing" is kicking in. See this guide for information, including how to override:
