Re: Give error after last SSL install..
I haven't heard any other issues; and I personally used this SSL for about a week before releasing it. What method did you use to install this version? (ie. auto-update, exe installer, zip installer...) You might want to try re-installing POP Peeper (which should re-download the SSL files, if you us...

Re: Aeris Calendar v3
Aeris Calendar v3 has been put on the back burner. There have been a lot of changes made since Aeris v2, but it's also in a state of flux -- one of the things I was doing was adding support for different weather providers and this became a bit of a slog. "One of these days" is the best I c...

Re: Cannot send messages again out of Hotmail acct.
You should use password method as Oauth2 for Hotmail/SMTP is a known problem. If you're using 2-step authentication, make sure you're using an app-specific password for POP Peeper. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/using-app-passwords-with-apps-that-don-t-support-two-step-verificat...

I assume you know the gotchas with Gmail and POP3 -- That Gmail defaults to deleting messages retrieved by POP3?

Re: Outlook SMTP Oauth2 error
Thanks for the links. The first link refers to old TLS methods that current versions of POP Peeper don't use. The current TLS libraries that PP uses support TLS v1.3. ftr, if you want to see what TLS version PP is using for an account (which has connected at least once to the server since PP started...

Re: some maills from GMail not showing
If the messages aren't shown with Filters disabled, then check: 1) Are you viewing a specific account? Check that the "View" dropdown is set correctly 2) Are you using any filters in PP that would delete the message? 3) Does the account report any errors? 4) What protocol are you using in ...

Re: Weird error
Thanks for the feedback, efremk1. Have your 2 accounts always been working or did they stop working at any point (since early Feb)? I decided to take another look at it. One of those conversations I posted above had some new info (not from a MS rep  ). One person says: "It's Googlable... ...

Re: 5.4.5 UI text not scaled
Here is a side-by-side comparison of 100% vs your 125%: PP_100vs125dpi.png While there may be certain discrepancies, it is clear that there is dpi-scaling happening. I took several measurements from these 2 screenshots, and the comparisons are *approximately* 25% larger in yours. Examples: Titlebar ...

Re: Why not put your Apps on the Windows Store
I know that Microsoft now allow non-UWP apps on the store (should have been that way to begin with, but...), and I had even bookmarked a MS page to remind me to follow-up with that. So I'll definitely re-visit it (hopefully pre-v6) and thanks for the nudge. Although after seeing the recent post here...

Re: Default Email Client not being called
I would agree that installing the non-Store app is probably the best solution. However, just in case anyone wants to use a MS-Store app (e.g. Mail), there is a work-around: 1) Create a link to the app on your desktop (one way to do this is to drag the program from the Start Menu onto the desktop) 2)...

Re: v5 64 bit
It's something I've been considering. My main hesitation is simply that the release process is already pretty stressful, and adding another release would make it pretty brutal; keeping in mind that all the plugins would also need to be updated, and there are a *lot* of plugins and then everything on...

Re: 5.4.5 UI text not scaled
Do you have specifics? I just did a quick test and took a screenshot of both and -- as far as the main window is concerned -- everything is scaled between my 2 screenshots. One thing to keep in mind is that PP only uses single monitor DPI, so if you have multi-monitor and move it to a monitor that h...

Re: never legit
To confirm, the links for "mark/confirm Junk/legit" were added in v5.0. It has not changed since then (to the best of my recollection -- at least to any significant degree -- but certainly not in v5.4.x). You don't have to confirm it. All it's doing is training the Bayesian feature of Anti...

Re: Forward or Reply as HTML
Well, PP could still include the images as attachments. The context of the comments may not be as well paired, but I have to admit, I frequently find myself opening previous messages in a conversation to refer to images. Otoh, I also find myself wondering why old images are still in a conversation w...

Re: Problems with messages with attachments
I might be able to help with 'attachments show first' but I'm not sure what to make of "marked as unread" so you may need to elaborate.
Make sure that you're sorting the message list by your preferred method -- usually "date/time" -- by clicking on the column header.

Re: Forward or Reply as HTML
I think I replied to a similar question recently and my response was basically: I need to update the HTML rendering engine (for *displaying* html) because what PP currently uses is nearing end-of-life. I'm hoping that the next engine will have some form of support for composing in HTML. This will li...

Re: Suggestion: add warning for inexistent mail sound file
Once upon a time, I would have said that the solution was worse than the problem. That is, the only way that PP could have told the user that there was a problem would be by popping up a message box, which I try to avoid doing for something that's supposed to keep to itself in the background. Howeve...
