Re: *Some* Zoho Inbox messages not displayed

mjs mentions what I would have mentioned, too, so be sure to check those. You can enable logging in POP Peeper by pressing Ctrl+D on the main menu; be sure to enable: - POP3/IMAP - Log MultiLines One other thing I came up with while re-reading your explanation (since it only seems to affect 1 accoun...

Re: 'Waving flag' icon out of sync with alert sound

It's impossible to exactly capture this as a screenshot, because opening the PP interface immediately cancels the waving flag alert. #-o yeah, you're right, of course... Ok, how about a screenshot or 2 of the tray icon with the mis-matched hover/tooltip text? I just want to make sure that we're on ...

Re: Lost old account details

Did you find the backup file? And is the timestamp before the issue? If so, then: 1) Make sure PP isn't running 2) Rename the current poppeeper.ini to something like poppeeper-new.ini 3) Make a copy of the backup file and rename that copy poppeeper.ini 4) Restart POP Peeper If you're having problems...

Re: 'Waving flag' icon out of sync with alert sound

A few more various questions: - What icon is being displayed instead of the new mail icon? - How many total messages do you have in POP Peeper? - Do you ever notice any significant lag in POP Peeper? - Any significant cpu usage (with PP) when this behavior is occurring? - Does this behavior occur co...

Re: 'Waving flag' icon out of sync with alert sound

I've never heard of this particular problem before, and it shouldn't work like this. when I get a new mail notification, I hear the alert sound, but the little waving flag doesn't appear in the tray for a minute or so. Is the tray icon still showing the "checking for mail" animated icons? ...

Re: Lost old account details

Sorry to hear about the problem. Your accounts are only stored locally, they are not saved in the cloud, so if you don't have a backup, you'll unfortunately need to re-enter the information. By default, POP Peeper does store a backup, but typically, if POP Peeper detects that your settings file was ...

Re: sbcglobal.net hacked

Sorry to hear about that; I know how stressful that can be. Oauth2 doesn't use your password to login, but it's up to the server's implementation on how it would react to a password change. Ideally, it should immediately revoke any current Oauth2 sessions/tokens and force them to login again, but &q...

Re: Outlook IMAP having problem

Glad you got it working. If you want to try to get Oauth2 working, I have a couple ideas. I've wondered if Outlook is holding back on requiring Oauth2 for email for these types of occurrences. I've seen too many of these with Outlook where it just seems like something is bugged in the account. The e...

Re: Outlook IMAP having problem

Outlook doesn't require you to use Oauth2, so if POP3 with password works, then Imap with password might, too -- press the Oauth2 button and when it asks if you want to clear it, say "yes", but then do NOT continue; just cancel the Oauth2 process. Then, enter/update your password on the &q...

Re: Pop Peeper won't install

Well, around 50% is where the SSL files get installed -- which are downloaded from the website -- so maybe you have something installed that interferes with that? I can tell you that nothing in the installer changed in v5.1.2 (from v5.1.1); v5.1 had a minor change to replace the "Trusted Sites&...

Re: Pop Peeper won't install

It could potentially be a corrupt download. I'd suggest re-downloading and make sure your webbrowser doesn't use a cached copy.

You can also try the "zip" download instead of the exe, on the downloads page.

Re: Create a rule for specific spam

Ok, so the domain is different every time. If you want to modify the rule I sent to not include the "-dom" then it would catch both these; however, like I said before, it's also more likely to catch legitimate email, too. http\S+\.site You might even consider: http : \S+\.site adding the c...

Re: Create a rule for specific spam

I should also point out that there are easier ways to set this rule, e.g. instead of using "regex" you could use "wildcard" and then use: http*-dom.site This is easier to read/understand, but the significant difference in this vs the regex is that the regex is a little more stric...

Re: Create a rule for specific spam

I'm not sure if you're asking for a rule to block any website that has ".site" at the end? That could potentially lead to a lot of False Positives. But let's say you want to create a rule that contains http...-dom.site -- Use: +Processed Use: RegEx Set: http\S+-dom\.site RegEx_DomSite.png ...

POP Peeper v5.1.2 released

POP Peeper v5.1.2 is now available for download:
https://www.esumsoft.com/download/

This should fix some more issues related to a v5.1 change that has had unexpected side-effects of overlapping controls on the main window.

I'll need to check if there's something specific in your ini file causing that. I will send you instructions via email (the address you're using on this forum), so expect to receive that in a few minutes.

Re: Please make Auto-Updater modify dates

Also, the screenshot that you posted showing the date of the v5.1.1 release as Apr 9 is misleading -- you took a screenshot of the reply, which was posted the next day. Look at the original post of the announcement which was posted Apr 8; keeping in mind that we are in different time zones (ie. my l...

Re: Please make Auto-Updater modify dates

Yes, April 8 is the date that the files were originally built/compiled. IMHO, this is a much more practical timestamp then the timestamp that *you* installed the files. Think of it this way -- when you download a zip file from the web, the zip file will have the date that it was downloaded, but the ...

Re: ISP IMAP acc't(s) send mail problem [solved]

There is no checkbox for that option. And, presumably, the fact that the error specifically mentions "EHLO [ipaddr]" that it means that that is what was sent to the server. PP has fallback options if it doesn't get the IP address (ie. the computer name is next).
