When you perform a search, it switches to the "Search" tab above the message list. Select the "Inbox" tab.

Re: Hi my version pop peeper stopped working the ssl on 10/11/2024

Glad that worked. I can't make any promises regarding Win7 and older (or even win8.0) for POP Peeper v6. There are certain necessary features that require Win8.1+ and it may not be possible to keep backward compatibility. Specifically, I'm referring to the HTML engine that PPv5 uses to display HTML,...

Re: Hi my version pop peeper stopped working the ssl on 10/11/2024

mjs -- massimo77mr's version was included in the screenshot; it's v3.8.1. massimo7mr -- The version you're using is very old (v3.8.1 was released in 2011). As I said above, it *should* work simply by installing v5 over your current version, but with a version that old, there are too many variables t...

Re: Hi my version pop peeper stopped working the ssl on 10/11/2024

I'm not sure I understand what exactly the problem is, but let's start with -- what version of POP Peeper do you have? It's under main menu: Help / About. I would suggest that you make a backup of your settings , but if you simply install the new version of POP Peeper over your existing, it should w...

It would be better if we moved this discussion to email since I'll need to request logs, etc, since you have an older forum account, I'm not going to assume that your forum email address is up-to-date, so if you can respond to (support at esumsoft dot com). 1) What makes you think the problem is rel...

Re: Request for new feature account icon

I have received this suggestion before, so I'll consider this a +1. You can, of course, color-code accounts for this purpose, but you can actually perform the very suggestion you're asking for by using Rules and custom User Flags (the former requires a Pro license). The Rule would look something lik...

Sorry, there's no eta for v6. I used to try to give dates, but they were inevitably wrong, and I learned my lesson.

Re: Request for option to hide disabled accounts

The next version of POP Peeper (v6) will have the capability to put accounts into groups. When you view a specific group, the accounts not belonging to that group will be "folded" (for lack of a better term -- hidden but accessible) and the messages belonging to those other accounts will n...

Re: Excel data always pasted as image

As far as I can tell -- after some research -- there's no way for the app to tell which keyboard shortcut you used to paste. Unfortunately, there's not much (well, *any*) documentation about it, so it's probably too new for it to come up. However, I think I will change PP so that it favors text over...

Re: Excel data always pasted as image

Ok, to back things up a little: 1) I wasn't aware that Ctrl+Shift+V was "official" -- I was surprised when it actually did something (ie. paste) 2) Google AI tells me this was added in March 2023. But another search tells me that "Microsoft is also working to make the shortcut availab...

Re: Flawless PopPeeper in Linux

Oauth2 uses https frequently when it needs to login (this is a normal login, beyond the initial authentication where you use a browser to login into the account and grant POP Peeper permission access). Last I used linux/wine, it was heavily based on IE6 (iirc) and the APIs did not support the levels...

Re: Oauth2 error messages

Interesting. The bigger email providers surely do keep track of "dirty" IP addresses, which could have temporary effects, but you'd think that once it started working again, you'd be good for a while (longer than a day or two). Good luck with the new connection and let us know if it contin...

Re: PopPeeper resets emails after any event

When you say "any power event", I assume that this means an event in which POP Peeper has exited? Assuming that's the case, my guess is that the database files are write-protected and are most likely in a folder protected by UAC. If you go to Tools / Options / Storage and either the "...

Re: Oauth2 error messages

Your error shows that Oauth2 is not being used. If you use a password, then you must create a new app password; further, Yahoo has reported that old app passwords may not be valid. If your webbrowser does not open when trying to authenticate Oauth2, then you should set a different browser -- From PP...

Re: New update...now messages don't open, get "retrieving message" note

Is the problem that PP has to retrieve the messages at all or that it takes a while? That is, I'm asking if your other computers still have to retrieve the messages when you view them or, if they do, if it's much faster than what you're experiencing? There are some default options you can look at ch...
