Re: Oauth2 Authentification Process

I had tested Gmail/Oauth2 on 2 instances before my first response, but your error is indicative of something happening; perhaps 3rd party.

However, the best solution is to use an app password:

Re: Oauth2 Authentification Process

What version of POP Peeper are you using (under Help / About)?
What Windows OS are you using?

Re: Oauth2 Authentification Process

Specifically for Gmail, POP Peeper creates a listening port for your browser to send the Oauth code back to POP Peeper. This is only necessary when creating the Oauth2 token (ie. when you use your browser to grant POP Peeper permission to access your gmail account). If you're running a 3rd party fir...

Re: Flawless PopPeeper in Linux

Sorry, there are no plans to make a linux-native version. If I understand the screenshot, PP is nothing more than a small titlebar? I assume pressing the "restore" button fixes it? What if PP is in a different state when you minimize it (ie. if you usually have it full-screen, what if it's...

Note that I do not have any direct experience with this myself -- I've only ever had "free" Microsoft-based accounts. The following is just my understanding based on experience with others, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I don't know the context of the forum topics you're referri...

Re: Error: Failed to Verify after RSET

Also, while not related to the error (as your error is smtp-related and not receiving email), you really should update your incoming/POP3 settings so that it uses encryption. Try setting it to "STARTTLS" and if that doesn't work, try "SSL/TLS".

Re: Error: Failed to Verify after RSET

A couple of things to check: - Edit the account in POP Peeper, go to the Send Mail page and verify that you have "server requires authentication" enabled; then press the "settings" button next to that and verify the settings -- "Use same login" is *usually* the best opt...

Re: An Idea for a PP Viewing Method

I didn't remember any of that... and then I noticed it was 8 years ago :) The good news is that the "important" flag did eventually make it into POP Peeper; with a default shortcut of Ctrl+I. But the idea of a "new tab" was completely forgotten. You can sort by the "user fla...

Re: "Delete" marker

It's been a while since I've used v3, but I'm pretty sure that it also used the '!' column for the delete icon (though it was a blue-X as you alluded to).

Re: PP interface to Proton

mjs is correct, it would require the Mail Bridge to access POP3/IMAP which is only available with ProtonMail's subscription. However, they do offer a cheaper alternative ($50/year) which includes the Mail Bridge: https://proton.me/mail/pricing#compare-plans And a slight correction on ProtonMail's pr...

Re: Trust all sites - Add language

I can now say -- sometime this year  My ETA's were notoriously wrong when I tried, so I don't try to guess anymore -- it's ready when it's ready and I don't have a marketing team pushing me to release it before that. It's getting closer though; features are mostly done and I'm working on fi...

Re: Trust all sites - Add language

You can disable the "Trusted Sites" plugin -- go to main menu: Tools / Plugins and disable the checkmark next to Trusted Sites. Because POP Peeper (v5 and earlier) doesn't support unicode, it's recommended that you don't use POP Peeper when sending email that contains non-ansi characters (...

Re: Hi my version pop peeper stopped working the ssl on 10/11/2024

Glad that worked. I can't make any promises regarding Win7 and older (or even win8.0) for POP Peeper v6. There are certain necessary features that require Win8.1+ and it may not be possible to keep backward compatibility. Specifically, I'm referring to the HTML engine that PPv5 uses to display HTML,...

Re: Hi my version pop peeper stopped working the ssl on 10/11/2024

mjs -- massimo77mr's version was included in the screenshot; it's v3.8.1. massimo7mr -- The version you're using is very old (v3.8.1 was released in 2011). As I said above, it *should* work simply by installing v5 over your current version, but with a version that old, there are too many variables t...

Re: Hi my version pop peeper stopped working the ssl on 10/11/2024

I'm not sure I understand what exactly the problem is, but let's start with -- what version of POP Peeper do you have? It's under main menu: Help / About. I would suggest that you make a backup of your settings , but if you simply install the new version of POP Peeper over your existing, it should w...

It would be better if we moved this discussion to email since I'll need to request logs, etc, since you have an older forum account, I'm not going to assume that your forum email address is up-to-date, so if you can respond to (support at esumsoft dot com). 1) What makes you think the problem is rel...
